I have most of the details worked out for the Saturday night dinner cruise. We will be leaving Ford Lake Park around 5:30pm, taking a leisurely drive south about 35 miles or so, ending up in Monroe, MI at Pete's Garage restaurant. Cool automotive-themed restaurant (Some of the booths are old 50's cars that you sit in) with a nice diverse menu and reasonable prices.
The route down to the restaurant takes us along the River Raisin. Monroe is the home of General George Custer and there are some historical sites along the way. I am going to drive the route this weekend and find a couple of good photo ops for us.
After dinner, I am hoping we can stop at the Calder Dairy Farm for ice cream on the way back. Still getting the details for that.
